LUXX Control Air Invikta: reviews and opinions
In Pickleball Effect's tests it is among the least powerful measured (54.2 mph on serve, firepower 14): the 19 mm core absorbs ball speed and helps dinks and resets, with a plush feel in the center. Compared with the original LUXX it has more counterpunch. The edgeless design makes the edges less stable and the low twist weight (5.83) is unforgiving on off-center hits; the reviewer finds the price high compared with rivals.
Strengths
- Lots of control in the short game
- Plush feel in the center
- Surface lasts longer than raw carbon
Limitations
- Little power
- Unstable edges and high price
It suits you if
- You play a control and reset game
