Which racket does Ale Galán use
Galán is an Adidas player and the Metalbone line is his signature racket. According to Chingoland and Padel Ibérico, in 2026 he plays matches with the Metalbone HRD+ 2026: a diamond with an EVA High Memory core and a 16K aluminised carbon face, the hardest racket in the Adidas range. Alongside it is the Metalbone 2026, with the same shape and face materials but a softer core.

Data and scores: PadelZoom (HRD+), PadelZoom (Metalbone). Weight can be increased by up to 11.2 g with the Weight & Balance system.
According to PadelZoom, the HRD+ is the most powerful Metalbone (10/10) and the one with the most control on attacking shots, but with moderate ball output: in defence you have to follow through more and the sweet spot is smaller. The standard Metalbone is more forgiving and has very high ball output for a diamond.
In January 2026 Adidas also announced the Metalbone Reserve, a limited edition signed by Galán for the Reserve Cup (All for Padel). The source does not say he uses it in tournaments.
Is Galán's racket right for you?
- Yes, the HRD+, if you are an advanced player, play on the left, finish many points with the smash and have a trained arm: it is stiff and demanding.
- The Metalbone is better if you want the same style of play with more forgiveness and more help in defence.
- Neither if you are a beginner or have elbow problems: look at rackets for beginners or those for tennis elbow.
