Balance: what it means in padel
Balance is the distance of the racket's centre of gravity from the end of the handle, expressed in millimetres or centimetres.
The higher it is, the more the weight shifts towards the head: the racket gives more smash power but is less maneuverable and tires the arm more. A low balance shifts the weight towards the handle and favours control and reaction speed. For example, among the models in the database 255 mm is considered low and 270 mm high.
